I set out the goal of writing more this year. Not just writing more on my blog, but more reflective journal writing. Apart of that goal meant I needed to establish a journaling routine that was going to support this new goal of mine.
In my recent YouTube video, I’m sharing a few new journals that I’m using this year.
Journals for Reflection, Goal Setting and Self-Exploration
I know it may sound weird to have several journals, because after all, they are spaces where I write my innermost thoughts, however each journal I use carries out a different purpose.
Goals Journal does a great job at breaking out my 2022 goals and making them more…attainable by taking me through a series of questions that highlight my core values, craft my ideal self, then give me the space to break them up on a monthly and weekly basis. The value in that is, instead of viewing my goals as this big feat that I have to accomplish, by breaking them down into smaller, more attainable milestones, I know that every little bit of progress counts and is steering me in the right direction of the “big” goal.
Soul Therapy, offers 365 questions for self-exploration and healing, which means, for each day of the year, I can look forward to a new question that will encourage me to look within. I’ve never purchased a journal like this before, but already I’ve been asked questions that I’ve never had to think of before. I think the best part is that I can look back on the answers I gave and further reflect on how much growth I’ve had from that point on.
Curious Curious, is a self-study journal that guides me to further explore the wisdom and inner knowing that comes from self-reflection. Almost similar to Soul Therapy, but offers a different set of questions that encourage me to stop, think and reflect in the present moment while drawing in all my senses. Questions such as, “How are you feeling in this moment? Energetically? Emotionally? Mentally?” require me to think beyond my consciousness and inspire me to tune into more elements of my being.
