So I know I’ve been talking about doing a 3 day juice cleanse which I haven’t exactly gotten around to yet lol BUT I’ve juiced here and there to mentally prepare myself for it. But to be honest… I’m stalling because I can’t recall ever going a day without eating food. Mind you I’ll still be consuming calories and nutrients via the veggie juices, but I’ll be drinking it. I think a large part of why myself, like anyone else, enjoys eating is because of the chewing motion. Being able to bite into foods and feel textures of different foods is something that can easily be taken for granted and I know I’ll miss it – even if it is only for 3 days. Despite all of that, it’s still one of my goals to try out so I have to do that up soon!
I don’t think there’s any wrong way to juice veggies. The way I like to do it is combine a mix of bitter greens with a citrus or ginger to neutralize the flavour and drink away. That being said, I decided to take a fairly bitter green (mustard green) and combine it with some other known immune boosting foods (kale is high in vitamin c while ginger is an antibacterial).
